About Shravan Sabarish
This is the official chess profile of Shravan Sabarish — competitive chess player from Waukesha, Wisconsin. He picked up chess at age 7 in early 2023 and entered his first OTB tournament in September 2023, unrated, earning an initial USCF Regular rating of 1018. Over the following two and a half years, his rating climbed steadily through consistent tournament play across the Midwest.
Through 2024, he built his foundation — 119 classical games, deliberate match-ups against higher-rated players, and a systematic approach to every opening, endgame, and tactical theme. His rating climbed past 1300. As his game matured, he intensified his training and competitive schedule.
The acceleration that followed was extraordinary. By mid-2026, his USCF rating reached 1840 and FIDE Standard 1770 — earning the FIDE Arena Candidate Master (ACM) title — based on his FIDE online arena rating and a strong national and Americas-wide age-bracket standing. In June 2026 he took the Junior Champion title at the 49th Green Bay Open. He is 10 years old, and the trajectory points only upward.
